The National Carbon Emission Monitoring Professional Skills Competition for the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry was successfully held in Jilin Oilfield. From September 3rd to 5th, the 2025 National Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry Carbon Emission Monitoring Professional Skills Competition was successfully held in Jilin Oilfield. The competition attracted 21 participating teams from China Petroleum and Sinopec, with a total of 97 contestants gathered here to engage in intense technical and intellectual competitions. In the end, the contestants from Liaohe Oilfield performed exceptionally well, winning one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. Among them, the gold medalist ranked third in the country and was honored with the title of "National Technical Expert". The theme of "Green Future Dual Carbon Pioneer" is of great significance. It is not only a strict test of the technical skills of the contestants, but also an important opportunity for the petroleum and petrochemical industry to spread and practice green concepts. The practical site is directly set up in the production area of the oil-water treatment center of Fuyu Oil Production Plant, fully simulating the working scenario of carbon emission monitoring in real oil and gas fields. The equipment and instruments used are in line with current industry standards. In recent years, petroleum and petrochemical enterprises have actively responded to the national "dual carbon" strategy, making many efforts to accelerate the layout of new energy industries, increase energy conservation and emission reduction efforts, promote green process technology innovation, and strengthen the construction of carbon emission management systems. Significant results have also been achieved, and a large number of excellent carbon emission monitoring skilled talents have emerged.
